Hi, I’m Mike Collie, the owner and DVSA Approved Driving Instructor behind MC Driver Training, based in Ellon, Aberdeenshire.

With a professional background in driving and transport operations, including HGV driving and transport coordination, I bring years of practical road experience to my driving lessons.

I specialise in calm, patient and structured manual driving tuition, helping learners of all ages develop the skills and confidence needed to become safe, responsible and independent drivers.

Every learner progresses differently. That’s why I adapt lessons to your experience, confidence and learning needs, with clear explanations, constructive feedback and achievable goals.

I believe learning to drive is about much more than passing the practical test. It’s about building safe driving habits that last a lifetime.

When you learn with MC Driver Training, you’ll be taught personally by me throughout your learning journey.

Learning Doesn’t Stop When the Engine Switches Off!

At MC Driver Training, pupils benefit from the Total Drive Pupil App, supporting their learning both during and between driving lessons.

Track your driving progress, review lesson bookings, access helpful learning resources and complete reflective learning logs to build confidence and take ownership of your development.

Combined with structured, personalised tuition, the app helps you stay focused on becoming a safe, confident and independent driver.

Included with your MC Driver Training lessons.
